The Alton Pentwick summer house is part of Alton's cedar summer house range. The Pentwick is 6ft 5in deep and is available in 3 widths; 8ft 2in, 9ft 10in and 12ft 4in. The Pentwick features a contemporary pent roof design, with stylish Georgian widows and double doors. Finished with chrome fittings, the Pentwick is the perfect blend of modern and traditional features that make this summer house so stylish.
As standard, your Alton Pentwick summer house includes cedar cladding, redwood framework, Georgian windows and double doors, a red felt roof and chrome ironmongery.
Western Red Cedar Cladding
All the cladding, windows, doors and external trims are made from 100% Western Red Cedar from Canada. This is traditional timber used for garden buildings and greenhouses because it is very durable and extremely resistant to rot. Alton summer houses are treated with a clear oil based protector in their workshops.
Georgian Windows and Doors
Made in Alton's own workshop by skilled carpenters - every Alton summer house features Georgian windows and doors manufactured from Western red cedar and glazed with toughened safety glass.
Heavy Duty Thermowood Floor
Alton summer houses include a 21mm thick heavy-duty Thermowood floor and tanalised floor joists for a strong and long-lasting floor.
Lockable Double Doors
Your Pentwick summer house double doors will be fitted with a proper 3 lever mortice lock so you can lock your contents away.
Red Felt Roof
As standard every Alton summer house has a red felt roof which matches the cedar cladding nicely. This may need replacing every few years if open to the elements.
Easy to Build
All Alton Summer houses are delivered in pre-assembled panels for a straightforward self assembly.
Stainless Steel Fixings
All the fixings provided are stainless steel. This helps to prevent unsightly black stains from rusty screws that you see on most sheds.
Satin-Chrome Door and Window Furniture
Window catches, door hinges, bolts and door hooks are all finished in a high-quality chrome - again giving a distinguished and enhanced feel to the building.

The Pentwick is a traditional cedar summerhouse from Alton.
A classic rectangular summerhouse, the Pentwick features a pent sloping roof with a 15in front overhang. Clear grade cedar cladding and Georgian windows and doors are a principal feature of the Pentwick, with stylish chrome window and door furniture for a clean finish.
A heavy duty thermowood floor, gives a solid and dimensionally stable floor that will last many a year!
The Pentwick has a standard depth of 6ft 5in and is available in 3 widths: 8ft 2in (as pictured), 9ft 10in and 12ft 4in.

Double doors are a standard feature of the Pentwick.
On a sunny day you can open both doors to allow as much light and fresh air in as possible. But on colour days the stable door can be locked with door bolts provided. Finished in chrome to match the door handles and windows stays.
As you can see in this picture, the Pentwick features substantial roof joinery which provides a solid pent roof structure.
Boarded with a plywood roof, this gives a nice neat surface on the inside of your summerhouse.
Made from natural hardwoods, the plywood roof gives additional strength and support to your summerhouse, while the colour variation in the natural hardwoods can vary - creating a very similar effect to the cedar cladding.
