At GBC, we are continuously striving to improve our products, methods and materials, which means we may change the specification of a product or range from time to time, but we will not make any significant changes without your agreement

Why Choose a Malvern Bewdley Apex Shed?
Choice of Timber Cladding
Choose between 12mm deal (pine) or 12mm pressure treated deal (pine). The 12mm deal is pre-treated with a water based preservative inside and out before it leaves the factory. The 12mm pressure treated deal has a long-lasting treatment forced deep inside the timber giving the timber an attractive green hue which compliments gardens well.

Bewdley Apex 7ft x 5ft Pressure treated
This is the new version of the Bewdley Apex which has a secure rimlock and key, replacing the fold-over hasp previously supplied.
The opening window on the side is a new option should you want to replace the standard fixed window.
This building has black felt, one of three choices with green and red.
4ft x 4ft Bewdley Apex shed
This is a very popular size of shed which fits easily into gardens where space is at a premium. Bewdley sheds are constructed using only real pine timber ( in other words you won't find chipboard or pressed fibre board in the floors and roofs ) . This means they will last longer particularly as they are put through a wash of a good quality preservative before they leave the factory ensuring that the treatment reaches into the end grain and between the tongued and grooved cladding.
* As of 2017, all Bewdley sheds are fitted with a Rimlock and key - replacing the hasp and staple as pictured.
Bewdley Apex pressure treated 6ft x 4ft
The Bewdley is also available in pressure treated pine ( pressure treatment is where all of the components are put in a pressurised cylinder with the preservative to force it further into the timber ). The pressure treated version has that green/yellow hue that is preferred by many householders.
Shown here on the 6ft x 4ft Apex version but also available on the Pent or Corner versions of the Bewdley.

Bewdley Apex 8ft x 6ft Pressure treated
The 8 x 6 Pressure treated model is supplied with one window which can be fitted on either side
Each Bewdley shed can be professionally installed by Malvern's own teams of skilled fitters on the same day as delivery is made (if the installation option is chosen)

8ft x 6ft Bewdley Apex shed
The Bewdley 8ft x 6ft shed has been in continuous production for over 20 years which is a good indication of its popularity. Sturdily constructed, it is weatherproof and well finished.
At GBC we display Bewdley sheds at all of our branches as we know they are a reliable and trouble free choice for our customers. These are a fairly simple building for DIY assembly, but the manufacturer's own teams of trained fitters can also install these for us making life much easier for our customers!

Bewdley Apex shed detail
This picture shows some of the detail you can expect with your Bewdley Apex shed. The door is ledged and braced for strength and is fitted with a fold-over hasp and staple.
There is one fixed window which can be fitted on either side. The floor and roof construction uses tongued and grooved, treated deal(pine)timber rather than inferior chipboard or pressed fibre board products.

Deal ( Pine ) cladding for Bewdley sheds
Bewdley sheds are constructed with quality, planed deal ( pine ). This is treated with a wash of quality wood preserver both inside and out before it leaves the factory. This ensures that the treatment reaches into the end grain and between the tongued and grooved cladding.
You can see from the picture the quality of the external cladding. There's another picture here of the inside of the building which illustrates the framework detail.
Pressure treated construction for Bewdley sheds
Pressure treatment is literally that : all components of the building are placed in a large pressurised cylinder which forces the preservative deep into the timber. The formulation of the preservative gives the pressure treated Bewdley sheds their green / yellow hue which complements so many gardens.
Good looks and an extended lifetime are the main benefits of choosing pressure treated construction.
Deal ( Pine ) framing for Bewdley sheds
Bewdley sheds are constructed with quality, planed deal ( pine ). The framework has rounded edges to prevent splinters. The whole building is treated with a wash of quality wood preserver both inside and out before it leaves the factory. This ensures that the treatment reaches into the end grain and between the tongued and grooved cladding. You can see from the picture the quality of the internal framing, this is at the point where it meets the roof which you can see is also constructed from tongued and grooved timber.
There's another picture here of the outside of the building which illustrates the cladding detail.
Turn pegs for Bewdley sheds
Turn pegs as photographed are fitted at the top and bottom of the door on each Bewdley shed.
These are handy for keeping the door shut briefly when you are going in and out but also help prevent the door from twisting if it is left shut for long periods of time without use.
Apex of Bewdley Apex Sheds !
This picture illustrates the attention to detail that goes into your Bewdley shed. The bargeboards aren't just plain planks of wood... they are neatly moulded and the joint at the top is covered with a diamond shaped capping.
Bewdley sheds are manufactured to give many years of trouble free use ... but they are also made to look good too !
Pressure treated floor bearers
If you are a novice when it comes to sheds then this picture is for you !
Most shed floors are constructed with floor joists which are deal (pine). These can be seen under the floor running down the length of this shed. If they are set directly onto your base they will deteriorate after a few years as water penetrates into the timber. By choosing a set of pressure treated floor bearers ( the timber running side to side in this picture ) you will extend the life of your shed significantly as these bearers will last a lifetime as the preservative is forced into the timber under pressure. This is the same process used for fenceposts and suchlike. Beneath the bearers you will see pressed grey slabs ... probably the best way of constructing a base for your building.
Rim lock internal
The Bewdley is supplied with a secure rimlock and key, shown here on a pressure treated Bewdley.
Door knob and escutcheon
The Bewdley is supplied with a black japanned door knob and escutcheon plate.
Black felt
New for 2017, Black has been added to Red and Green to allow you to choose the mineralised roof felt colour that best fits your location.
Opening window
The Bewdley is supplied with one fixed window for lengths up to and including 8ft. 10ft models and above have 2 windows.
The picture shows the optional opening window which replaces the fixed pane standard window.
You can, if you prefer, have no windows at all !
Shed shelves
We offer a range of different length shelves, 9" wide, for all of our Malvern sheds.
Chipboard and flakeboard
First, this ISN'T one of our sheds !
If you ask any of our staff about our sheds and what distinguishes them from the cheap chain store and internet offerings, they will tell you about the thickness of the boards, the quality of the joinery, and most likely the construction of the roofs as we use only tongued and grooved, treated timber in our roofs. If the roofing felt gets blown away in severe storm conditions the roof boards won't deteriorate just so long as you get a new set of felt attached within a month or two, We'll also advise you against any shed that has chipboard or flakeboard as a roofing material and here's why ! Although the sides of this old building might last a good few years more, the roof has completely disintegrated.

As with all of our garden buildings, we like to provide our customers with a suitable delivery time. We always give good notice of our arrival date allowing you to be sure it is the right time for you. We always appreciate any helpful information regarding access to your pre-prepared base area, plus any details you may need to share with us about reaching you - so that the delivery process can run as smoothly as possible.
Our Malvern Traditional Sheds all come with optional installation. If you are thinking about having your garden shed installed by our skilled team of fitters, please be aware that you will need to have a good, strong, level base, pre-prepared prior to your delivery date. We would normally recommend a base constructed from either slabs, concrete or heavy duty decking. We will always confirm these details with you at point of order and we will provide you with base plans if needed. These measures ensure that no detail is left out - ensuring that your garden shed will be both delivered and installed without any inconvenience.
Our delivery times can vary from season to season, but typically, you should expect to receive your building around 3-4 weeks from when you order. All of our buildings are made to order, so during the busy spring to summer seasons, this may increase to 6-10 weeks dependant on the building that you have purchased. Please feel free to contact us on 0800 999 0123 to check our current delivery times.
