The Denbury Apex shed is one of our most popular garden sheds. The distinguishable apex roof design is popular with our customers and, in addition to a high-quality construction, makes for a great value for money shed that will stand the test of time. .
The Fort Denbury Pent Shed offers an alternative roof style. See the Denbury Pent page for more details and sizes available..

Why Choose a Denbury Apex?
Choice of Timber Cladding
The Fort Denbury Apex shed is constructed using quality materials to provide a strong and robust shed at a competitive price. Cladding on the Denbury Apex shed is available in a choice of either 12mm Deal shiplap or 15mm Tanalised E deal. The 12mm Deal is pre-treated with a high quality, water-based wood preserver inside and out. The 15mm Tanalised E deal has a reputation for longevity, since the boards are placed in a pressure vessel and the preservative is forced deeper into the timber. The cladding has a green/yellow colour which is well liked but our recommendation is to re-treat it shortly after installation, and then annually afterwards - just as with the other cladding options to keep it in tip-top condition.

Fort Denbury Apex 2.1m x 1.5m ( 7ft x 5ft nominal )
The Fort Denbury Apex is more than a basic shed as it is constructed throughout with tongued and grooved timber rather than any artificially produced board products such as chipboard or stirling board. Real timber is less prone to decay or water damage making it last longer and remain stronger.
The Denbury is available either in 15mm tanalised, pressure treated cladding as in this photograph, or in our standard 12mm timber treated cladding.
One fixed window is standard. The door has a press lock and key .

Standard 12mm external cladding
This is the standard external tongued and grooved cladding used on all of our Fort sheds, summerhouses and playhouses. The finished thickness after machining is 12mm. It is treated with a good quality preservative prior to leaving the factory but we do recommend that you re-coat within a few months and preferably in the late autumn each year. You can purchase the appropriate timber treatment from us if you wish.
Tanalised 15mm external cladding and construction
If you wish, you can upgrade to 15mm thick tanalised external cladding. Tanalised, or pressure treated timber, has a reputation for longevity since the boards are placed in a pressure vessel and the preservative is forced deeper into the timber. The cladding has a green/yellow colour which is well liked but our recommendation is to re-treat it shortly after installation, and then annually afterwards just as with the other cladding options to keep it in tip-top condition.
Tanalised buildings include tanalised floors, roofs, doors, windows, and framing... in other words the whole building !
Security pack
This is a useful security enhancement if you are concerned about the security of your building.
Firstly the security pack contains a fully framed door rather than the usual ledged and braced door. Next, each of the 3 hinges has a number of its screws replacing with bolts which are tightened from the inside. Finally, a padlock protector is fitted which protects the hasp of the padlock from hack saw attack !
Joinery made window
You can replace the fixed shed windows with these joinery made opening windows if you want a breath of fresh air inside your shed !
The 3 pane window is shown here, with centre opening section.
Alternatively you cab choose a single joinery made opening window or a two pane window with one opening section.

We take pride in making sure that your building will arrive in perfect condition - that is why we use our own team of drivers and fitters. As with all of our garden buildings, we like to provide our customers with a suitable delivery time. We always give good notice of our arrival date allowing you to be sure it is the right time for you. We always appreciate any helpful information regarding access to your pre-prepared base area, plus any details you may need to share with us about reaching you - so that the delivery process can run as smoothly as possible.
Our Fort Original Sheds all come with optional installation. If you are thinking about having your garden shed installed by our skilled team of fitters, please be aware that you will need to have a good, strong, level base, pre-prepared prior to your delivery date. We would normally recommend a base constructed from either slabs, concrete or heavy duty decking. We will always confirm these details with you at point of order and we will provide you with base plans if needed. These measures ensure that no detail is left out - ensuring that your garden shed will be both delivered and installed without any inconvenience.
Our delivery times can vary from season to season. All of our buildings are made to order, so during the busy spring to summer seasons, this may increase depending on the building that you have purchased. Please feel free to contact us on 0800 999 0123 to check our current delivery times.
