As with all of our Nordic garden rooms, the Nordic ECO base is supplied as standard. All we require is a flat and level slab base or concrete pad for the ECO base to sit on. The ECO base offers the following benefits:
Please note: all sizes shown are internal measurements. For external sizes and base size requirements, please contact us.
The commentary on the picture explains what we were doing here: growing exactly the same crops and looking after them in exactly the same way. Of course, it wasn't done in a controlled scientific laboratory, just in our display greenhouses, but the results gained in the double glazed building speak for themselves !
This is the display model at our GBC Angmering display centre, one of four locations where you can view these superb new double glazed greenhouses. Our other locations are at GBC Edinburgh, GBC Hertford and GBC Wychbold ( in the West Midlands ). You can find these branch addresses from the map on our home page.
It's a good idea to examine the quality of these buildings which are engineered to exacting standards.
The Iona is pictured here with full length double glazing and vents in each side as well as the roof lights.
Our customer said 'The installation went very smoothly, the Nordic staff arriving on time and finishing the job in one day. We are delighted with the greenhouse' Mr Bell, Cotswolds.
The Iona, Skye and Torsa are a range of totally new and superbly engineered double glazed greenhouses.
Created in response to ever rising energy costs, these greenhouses provide an easy-to-heat environment to bring on seedlings in the spring, overwinter tender plants and, ( don't admit to it ! ) give you a lovely warm space to sit and enjoy a good book and a cup of tea on a blustery day !
They are sturdy, low maintenance, secure and available in white as standard or a choice of 5 other colours ( shown here in green ).
The Iona greenhouse is 1.8m x 2.4m.
The Skye greenhouse (as pictured) is 2.4m x 2.4m
The Torsa greenhouse is 2.4m x 3.2m
One roof vent is provided as standard with each model, however, additional vents are available at an extra cost. The vent is controlled with an automatic opener to avoid heat building up too far in summer months.
The picture also illustrates the triple wall, thermally efficient polycarbonate roof which is manufactured to industry leading specifications.
The Iona, Skye and Torsa dimensions ( 2.4m wide ) are taken from the external uprights, so the sill size adds approx 80mm at each side.
This sill discharges water away from the greenhouse base in this picture or, if the building sits on a dwarf wall, helps protect the brickwork by shedding the water away from the edge.
One of the principal features of these greenhouses are the optional colour choices available. Black, Green, Grey, Golden Oak or Rosewood are available.
As usual the photograph doesn't show the colours particularly accurately so you will have to see us for some colour samples !
The colour is applied to the PVCu frames in the same way as to any high quality conservatory so it is permanent and attractive.

All Nordic garden buildings are delivered directly to your door from the manufacturer's factory in Wales. Nordic's professional installation team are experts in fabrication and construction of PVCu buildings (we do not use contractors).
We require easy access to your garden and you should notify us of any obstructions or narrow passages when you place order. As with of all garden buildings, you will need to ensure our installation team have a flat and level base to work from. If you have chosen an optional base with your building, we will still require a flat and level surface upon arrival.
Our delivery times can vary from season to season, but typically you should expect to receive your building around 3-4 weeks from when you place your order. All of our buildings are made to order, so during the busy spring to summer seasons this may increase to 6-10 weeks dependent on the building that you have purchased. Please feel free to contact us on 0800 999 0123 to check our current delivery times.
