The Malvern Studio Pent is a modern, subtle and attractive garden room. The pent style roof allows light into your garden room whilst adding a contemporary look and feel to any outdoor area. With glass to ground double glazed windows either side of the double glazed double doors, the Studio Pent maximizes the use of available light, making it the perfect garden room for relaxing with family and friends or working on hobbies and crafts or using as a home office.
As standard each Malvern Studio Pent has modern chrome ironmongery, a five lever mortice lock for added security, 38kg bitumen felt roofing in red, green or black, rot proof pressure treated floor joists and a preservative treatment throughout. Our great range of optional extras gives you the ability to tailor your Studio to your own style. By adding either the patterned MDF or tongue and groove lining and insulation your Studio can be used all year round - keeping you warmer through the winter months.
Choice of Timber Cladding
Choose between 12mm deal (pine), 12mm pressure treated deal (pine), cedar, 19mm deal (pine) or 19mm pressure treated deal (pine). The 12mm and 19mm deal are pre-treated with a water based preservative inside and out before it leaves the factory. The 12mm and 19mm pressure treated deal has a long-lasting treatment forced deep inside the timber giving the timber an attractive green hue which compliments gardens well. The Western Red Cedar is a beautiful and versatile timber which produces its own natural oils and preservatives making it a durable and rot-resistant species of timber, perfect for a garden summerhouse.
Double Glazed Windows and Doors
As standard, the Malvern Studio includes full-length, double glazed windows and doors across the width of your building with a single large, full length window either end of the building. This maximises light into your building - perfect for an art studio!
Under 2.5m Height
The Malvern Studio is designed with a ridge height of under 2.5m so that planning permission is only needed in special circumstances.
All Malvern Arley and Studio range buildings are supplied with chrome window and door furniture, bringing a high-quality finish to your summerhouse.
Safety and Security
A five-lever mortice lock is included as standard to make sure your building is safe and secure.

This Malvern Studio Pent is 14ft wide x 8ft deep, and is available in a huge range of sizes ensuring we have the perfect fit for you.
This model features is in the standard 12mm deal cladding, with an 'Olive Green' painted finish, painted 'bead and butt' MDF lining, insulation and a deluxe laminate floor. Full length double glazing is included as standard with the Studio range - perfect for a garden office or warm summerhouse.
The Studio Pent has a clean, modern look about it and when you consider that installation takes less than a day and there's rarely any issue with planning permission you can see why it's such a popular choice to solve issues over lack of space.
When you start to work out how much you can save, in time and money, by working from home you'll soon realise that the Studio pays for itself in a very short space of time.
This 12ft x 8ft Studio Pent is shown in the stunning 'Urban Grey' painted finish. This model also features painted MDF lining in 'Honey Dew', a deluxe laminate floor in 'Seaside Pine' with an EPDM rubber roof membrane.
Each Studio Pent is built to meet our customers' requirements so external colour, internal lining and flooring choices are always on the agenda.
The Studio Pent is designed with a ridge height of under 2.5 metres so that planning permission is only needed in special circumstances.
The versatility of the Garden Studio range is illustrated here with this full length glass model which has been finished in our attractive 'Willow Green' painted finish.
To upgrade the interior we have used 'honeydew' finished lining panels and added an attractive laminate floor too.
This is a display model at one of our branches: we display the Studio Pent at many of our 35 locations around the UK, just drop down the page to the 'where can I see one' tab to find your nearest location.
The optional tongued and grooved pine lining inside the Studio Pent is carefully fitted to provide a pleasant working environment. Because the walls and roof are insulated when the building is lined, the Studio Pent will become suitable for all year round use.
We recommend heating the Studio Pent with electric thermostatically controlled convector heaters. You can set these to maintain a minimum temperature when you aren't using the building so that paper and equipment remain at the appropriate temperature.
The internal t&g lining is shown here on the Arley which has half length windows rather than the full length ones fitted to the Studio.
Choose the optional mdf panels, sprayed with a honeydew paint finish, and you choose a hardwearing and attractive finish for the inside of your Arley or Studio Garden Office. Pictured here on the Arley ( which has half length windows rather than the full length windows featured on Studio models ). The mdf lining helps create a light and airy feel to this working environment.
When you choose either the mdf lining, or the t&g lining pictured elsewhere in this gallery, the building is insulated too with a uFoil insulation in the walls and roof.
Our double glazed Arley and Studio ranges of Garden Offices, whether Apex, Pent or Pavilion style, can all be fitted with an optional integral shed conversion.
In this picture of a 14ft x 8ft Arley Pavilion the shed section ( 4ft wide in this case ) is fitted within the LH side. Pent versions would also have the shed conversion to one side or the other whereas Apex versions would have a rear compartment as a shed section if specified.
Please note that the shed section is not lined or double glazed and comes with a joinery made single glazed shed window and a solid, framed and braced shed door.
In this picture of a 14ft x 8ft Arley Pavilion other options are the paint finish, internal mdf lining, bitumen felt roof tiles, and laminate floor.
Please note that the amount of the building converted to shed use is up to you but is normally 4ft, 6ft or 8ft depending on the overall length of the building. The shed area is not an extension added to your building, it is part of the original dimensions.
The Studio Pent style roof overhangs the front door giving shelter when entering and leaving the office. This also keeps the worst of the weather off the door and windows helping extend the life of the building accordingly.
The Studio Pent is less than 2.5metres in height and therefore does not contravene planning laws ( which require you to ask permission for buildings which are more than 2.5m in height within 2m of a boundary.)
Studio Pents have full length glass windows so you may have spotted that this picture shows the Arley Pent with it's top light windows... but the principle is exactly the same !
Pressure treatment is literally that : all components of the building are placed in a large pressurised cylinder which forces the preservative deep into the timber. The formulation of the preservative gives our pressure treated buildings their green / yellow hue which complements so many gardens.
Good looks and an extended lifetime are the main benefits of choosing pressure treated cladding.
Cedar is well known for its durability, good looks and quality. With its own natural oils, it lasts for many , many years without rotting although we would advise you to treat it with a good quality wood preserver every couple of years to help maintain its good looks.
Our cedar Garden Offices contain cedar doors, windows and external cladding and trims.
