The Arley Pent is a contemporary and stunning garden room. The pent style roof allows light into your garden room whilst adding a contemporary look and feel to any outdoor area. With half-height windows, the Arley Pent allows you to maximise space within your building with anything from filing cabinets to toy chests!
Featured as standard, the Arley Pent is complete with double glazed windows, a double glazed single door, chrome ironmongery, a 5 lever mortice lockable door and a wide range of customisable features including installation, double doors, lining and insulation, laminate flooring, EPDM rubber roof upgrade and much, much more.
Choice of Timber Cladding
Choose between redwood, pressure treated, cedar, heavy duty redwood or heavy duty pressure treated. The redwood cladding (both standard and heavy-duty), are pre-treated with a water based preservative inside and out before it leaves the factory. The pressure treated cladding (both standard and heavy-duty), has a long-lasting treatment forced deep inside the timber giving the timber an attractive green hue which complements gardens well. The Western Red Cedar is a beautiful and versatile timber which produces its own natural oils and preservatives making it a durable and rot-resistant species of timber, perfect for a garden summer house.
Double Glazed Windows and Doors
As standard, the Malvern Arley includes half-height, double glazed windows and doors with a single half-height window either gable end of the building. This maximises light into your building - perfect for all uses!
Under 2.5m Height
The Malvern Arley is designed with a ridge height of under 2.5m so that planning permission is only needed in special circumstances.
All Malvern Arley and Studio range buildings are supplied with chrome window and door furniture, bringing a high-quality finish to your summerhouse.
Safety and Security
A five-lever mortice lock is included as standard to make sure your building is safe and secure.
All our summer houses include a guarantee against rot and decay:
10-Year guarantee for Cedar
3-Year guarantee for Pressure Treated
2-Year guarantee for Redwood.

Installation by our own skilled fitters onto a suitably prepared base (not included).
Lining and Insulation
Make your office work all year round – choose from two distinctive styles of lining and insulation.
The Malvern Arley has the option of a painted finish and you can choose from 20 countryside colours! We can also paint the windows and doors in an alternative colour to really make the building your own.
Georgian Windows and Doors
Change the look of your building by upgrading to Georgian windows and doors.
EPDM Rubber Roof Upgrade
Upgrade your 38kg felt roof to a high quality EPDM rubber roof membrane. The EPDM gives a much neater appearance whilst extending the life of your building considerably.
Heavy Duty Floor Boards and Laminate Flooring
For additional strength and durability, upgrade to 19mm timber floor boards. Laminate flooring is also available in a choice of styles and colours.
Partition/Shed Conversion/Open Sided Area
Make the most of your garden building with a range of layout options. Enjoy a garden office, storage shed and summerhouse in just one building.
Choose Your Colours
Customise your building with a range of beautiful countryside colours:
The Arley and Studio range from Malvern now has the option of clear grade Western Red Cedar. In years past the cedar has been treated with a darker treatment, but with the soaring popularity of cedar in recent years, a more natural appearance is now desired. The clear treatment brings out the natural beauty of cedar and with a good schedule of maintenance you can keep your building looking exceptional for years to come.
This model also includes tinted glass windows for additional privacy and security. Contact us now for more details!
The Arley Pent is shown here in our 'Meteorite' paint finish, with internal mdf lining and laminate floor.
The external cladding is our new squared profile and it has chrome finish ironmongery. Tinted glass complements the building's colour choice.
A single door is supplied as standard but with this Arley a central double door has been specified.
All in all it's an attractive building which makes a fabulous home office, hobby room or play area all year round as it's double glazed and insulated too !
The Arley Pent is on display at many GBC branches throughout the UK. Details of locations are at the foot of this page.
This is a 12ft wide x 6ft deep Arley Pent office in 12mm Deal (pine) with a double door upgrade, pine matchboard tongue and groove internal lining and a deluxe laminate floor.
This is a fabulous office; functional, warm and convenient! With fuel costing around £6 for every 30 miles you travel, the savings from working at home soon mount up. Not only that but you get back many hours of your life by avoiding sitting in the traffic every day !
This is a great entry-level office which offers fantastic value for money. The Arley Pent keeps costs down as far as possible without compromising on quality.
The height at the front is under 2.5 metres so there are no planning issues on this score, and installation time is generally less than one day.
Double glazing with toughened safety glass is a standard feature.
Work from home in style with the Malvern Arley Pent garden office. The Arley is a great place to work with double glazing as standard and a large selection of customisable features such as internal lining, insulation, double doors, upgraded EPDM rubber roof membrane and even internal partitions for office storage or a garden shed!
Rather than braving the roads every morning and evening, spending your hard earned money on filling up the car or buying a rail season ticket, why not put an Arley Pent in the garden and save a fortune?
The Malvern Arley and Studio range now have the option of tinted glass for additional privacy and security. Perfect for the garden office that may be overlooked by neighbours.
This model is 10ft wide x 8ft deep with attractive cedar cladding and a tongue and groove internal finish with insulation.
The optional tongued and grooved pine lining inside the Arley Pent is carefully fitted to provide a pleasant working environment. Because the walls and roof are insulated when the building is lined, the Arley Pent will become suitable for all year round use.
We recommend heating the Arley Pent with electric thermostatically controlled convector heaters. You can set these to maintain a minimum temperature when you aren't using the building so that paper and equipment remain at the appropriate temperature.
Choose the optional MDF panels, sprayed with a honeydew paint finish, and you choose a hardwearing and attractive finish for the inside of your Arley or Studio Garden Office. Pictured here on the Arley (which has half length windows rather than the full length windows featured on Studio models). The MDF lining helps create a light and airy feel to this working environment.
When you choose either the MDF lining, or the T&G lining pictured elsewhere in this gallery, the building is insulated too with a uFoil insulation in the walls and roof.

These windows are double glazed with toughened safety glass.
One opening window is fitted as standard on each side of the building with a further two fixed windows in the front (one in 8ft wide models). Additional windows are available if required.
Shown here on the Arley Apex model.
We are able to offer a selection of attractive laminate floors for our Arley range which, if you choose to have our bespoke fitting teams to install your building, will be fitted at the same time.
Shown here fitted in the Studio range which has full length windows rather than the Arley's half length windows.
Our double glazed Arley and Studio ranges of Garden Offices, whether Apex, Pent or Pavilion style, can all be fitted with an optional integral shed conversion.
In this picture of a 14ft x 8ft Arley Pavilion, the shed section (4ft wide in this case) is fitted within the LH side. Pent versions would also have the shed conversion to one side or the other whereas Apex versions would have a rear compartment as a shed section if specified.
Please note that the shed section is not lined or double glazed and comes with a joinery made single glazed shed window and a solid, framed and braced shed door.
In this picture of a 14ft x 8ft Arley Pavilion other options are the paint finish, internal MDF lining, bitumen felt roof tiles, and laminate floor.
Please note that the amount of the building converted to shed use is up to you but is normally 4ft, 6ft or 8ft depending on the overall length of the building. The shed area is not an extension added to your building, it is part of the original dimensions.
Pressure treatment is literally that : all components of the building are placed in a large pressurised cylinder which forces the preservative deep into the timber. The formulation of the preservative gives our pressure treated buildings their green / yellow hue which complements so many gardens.
Good looks and an extended lifetime are the main benefits of choosing pressure treated cladding.
Cedar is well known for its durability, good looks and quality. With its own natural oils, it lasts for many , many years without rotting although we would advise you to treat it with a good quality wood preserver every couple of years to help maintain its good looks.
Our cedar Garden Offices contain cedar doors, windows and external cladding and trims.
This picture shows the basic version of the Arley Pent, unlined either with T&G timber or painted MDF.
The double glazed windows are standard but if you want to make use of the building in this format all year round then you would probably need to add your own lining to the building.
