The LidgetCompton Apex Garage features a traditional pitched roof, designed to blend with most housing styles.
The Apex range incorporates LigetCompton's thicker concrete panel, stronger fibre cement roof sheets and a unique roof design.
You can choose from a further six roof colours, to blend in with your property . A translucent roof sheet is available that will let in natural daylight, although we can supply lining clip packs so you can fix a board for your electrical fittings if you want to install electricity.
The Apex range is our most flexible, offering the biggest number of sizes and options. Make of your Apex what you will; garage, store, workshop, garden room, gym, music room, or a combination by adding a partition to the rear of your garage.

Standard LidgetCompton Apex Garage
Here is a standard version of the LidgetCompton Apex garage. The timber fascias, timber personnel door, up-and-over door and spar finish are all standard features with this model.
Lidget Compton Apex Double Garage16'3 x 16'6 wide
This is a Lidget Compton Double Apex Garage which has been installed at GBC at Bridgemere in Cheshire. GBC have display garages at nearly all of our branches nationwide. The main thing to point out is the easy sliding Hormann doors which are framed for strength and good looks and give over 6ft of clearance when open. You can, of course, choose a range of maintenance free options.
All Lidget Compton garages are installed by the manufacturer's own expert fitting teams
Lidget Compton Apex Double Garage16'3 x 16'6 wide
Contrast this display model at our Chesterfield branch with the picture shown to the LH side of our Bridgemere display building. The key difference is the fact that this building is fitted with our maintenance free pack which gives it the following additional options : maintenance free PVCu facias, vergeboards and gutters. A PVCu window rather than timber. Vertically ribbed front up and over doors ( rather than horizontal ) with 4 point locking. A 3ft white steel personnel door. A sand and cement fillet at ground level and a pair of weather bars in the doorways.
This maintenance free pack is provided at a special price as an incentive to make the most of your garage and avoid the routine maintenance that timber fittings require.
LidgetCompton Apex Garage with Cotswold Stone finish
This is an 8'6" wide x 16'3" long Apex garage with our Cotswold stone finish.
Other features to point out are the maintenance free PVCu facias, the personnel door at the rear LH corner, the PVCu double window and white guttering and downpipes.
There's also a Pennine stone finish available as well as the usual brick and spar aggregate finishes.

Apex 20 16'6 wide x 16'3
This fabulous Apex 20 garage ( 20 refers to the 20 degree roof pitch which is steeper than the standard Apex Spar ) has 'Georgian' style Rosewood finish double doors. Facias, windows and side door are also in Rosewood finish. These are all options which you can choose for your standard Spar Apex which has a roof pitch of 12.5 degrees.
The main building is finished in the basic spar aggregate but the front posts are in reclaim brick. The Apex 20 has a choice of different coloured roof 'metrotiles' rather than the fibre cement roof sheets provided with the standard Apex Spar models.
Altogether a very good looking garage.
Shelf stack
A handy addition for your concrete garage which attaches using sturdy metal brackets bolted to the concrete panels. No need to attempt to drill into the garage panels yourself ( which we definitely don't recommend ).
Aggregate finish
There are four choices for the exterior walls of your LidgetCompton Garage. The most popular is the spar aggregate finish pictured here.
It's an attractive, inexpensive and maintenance free finish which is applied at the factory during manufacturing.
Alternatively you can choose a brick finish, stone finish, or a textured finish.
Sectional brick finish
There's a choice of four wall finishes for your Lidget Compton garage. Illustrated here is the Sectional Brick finish. Other choices are the Spar aggregate, Stone or Textured finishes.
There are 4 different sectional brick colours to choose from .. this one is 'Deep Red' but we also have a buff brick, brown brick and a different shade of red available.
Our display centre staff can help you decide which one is most appropriate for your location !
Pennine stone effect finish
This stone finish is one of the external finishes available with your Lidget Compton garage.
Cotswold stone effect finish
In the appropriate location the Cotswold finish helps your sectional garage, shed or garden room blend into its surroundings with ease.
This building has decograin Rosewood finish on the front up and over door and door frame.
Cotswold stone finish
Cotswold stone effect finish. This stone finish is one of the external finishes available with your Lidget Compton garage. Shown here only on the front posts, it can also be specified on the whole garage in a similar manner to the Pennine finish also pictured.
Cement fillet and mastic seal
Making your garage weathertight is very important and two of the key elements of this are shown in this picture. When installed, your garage fitters will seal between the panels with a water resistant mastic sealant which prevents draughts and damp. If you choose the option of a sand/cement fillet the fitters will fill and smooth around the bottom edge as shown in the picture with a cement fillet.
Eaves detail
This shows, close up, the detail at the eaves on a maintenance free version of the Apex spar finish garage. The timber verge boards and rear facias have been replaced with white PVCu.
Guttering and downpipes are another option illustrated in this picture.
Hormann Doors
Hormann doors have an unrivalled reputation for providing easy lift up and over doors. They are secure, reliable and feature an external frame for strength and good looks. Horizontally ribbed doors are provided as standard but you can choose vertically ribbed doors or a range of special designs and colours. Just ask us for details, either with an on-line enquiry or by phone.
Maintenance free pack
Rather than specify individual items such as maintenance free facias ( as shown ), we provide maintenance free packs which include items such as PVCu facias and verge boards, PVCu window and gutters and downpipes.
Other options worth mentioning in this picture are the vertical ribbing on the front up and over door, and the brick front posts ( reclaim brick style ).
Timber window
A 4ft, 2 pane fixed window is supplied as standard with every Lidget Compton garage, shown here on a Pent roof garage. You can specify an opening window at a slightly increased cost or a double glazed PVCu window if you prefer.
PVCu fixed window
This is a 4ft long PVCu double window, in this instance set into the rear of this Apex garage but it could equally well be side fitting. The standard window is the 4ft timber window as shown elsewhere on this page. You can choose to have the window opening should you wish.
Brick front posts
There's a choice of optional brick finish front posts available with your Lidget Compton garage. Shown here on the centre section of a double garage. This is the 'reclaim brick' style, one of four brick choices available

Eaves filler
An important feature of your garage is the filler which cuts out draughts along the eaves. It's moulded to shape and slides in below the pressed cement fibre roof sheets.
Personnel door , 3ft ribbed steel.
This is the optional 3ft personnel door, available for any of our range. This one is in vertically ribbed steel and is finished with a white powder coated paint finish. There's a choice of different styles too so please be sure to ask about other options.
Personnel door , 3ft deluxe timber.
This is the optional 3ft personnel door, available for any of our range. This one is our deluxe treated timber door and is finished with a quality wood preserver. There's a choice of different styles too so please be sure to ask about other options.
Personnel door , 3ft ribbed steel, interior.
The internal door handles on our steel personnel door are substantial and easy to hold. This particular door has additional security with two point locking as well as the normal lock.
Personnel door , 3ft deluxe timber, interior
An interior shot of the deluxe wooden door shown here on a Pent roof garage. Even in this application there's room to fit the door under the up and over lifting gear. Normally you would expect to position this door further down one side or at the rear. Note that the door is strongly framed and includes a secure lock.
Personnel door from inside
This is the internal view of the 3ft vertically ribbed, white powder coated personnel door available with most of our sheds and garages.
Timber facias
The standard facias for the Lidget Compton Apex are preservative treated timber.
4 Point Secure Locking
Our main garage doors have two point locking but for a small extra charge you can upgrade to 4 point locking. ( Note the bars that run diagonally across the door ). This locks the door in all 4 corners.
Translucent roof sheet
One or more translucent roof sheets can bring light into your garage. Position them over a workbench, a doorway or a dull corner for that little bit of extra daylight. Alternatively, for added security, specify a garage with no side windows and add translucent roof sheets instead !
Roof coverings
In the foreground you'll see the full length galvanised steel roof sheets we use on our Pent and Pent Mansard garages. These are treated with Grafo-therm anti condensation treatment to help protect the contents of your garage from damp. They are robust, long lasting and secure.
In the background you'll see the fibre cement roof sheets which are used on our full range of 12.5 degree roof Apex models... our best selling buildings. These have a proven track record and are water tight and durable.
Roof construction
Sturdy steel roof trusses are treated with red oxide paint to prevent rusting.
The fibre cement roof sheets are screwed in place on to substantial treated timber purlins which , in turn, are secured on galvanised joist hangers.
Sectional Up and Over Door external
This up and over door is a 'sectional door'... look closely and you can see it is made up of four horizontal panels, one of which can, if wanted, accomodate 'waterford inserts' ie glazed panels ! Because of the door construction you can to park up closer to the door and yet still be able to lift it as it folds upwards while retaining its overall size.
This sectional door is shown on an Apex 20 garage but can be fitted to all of our garage styles.
If you want to see one of these doors we have it on show at our Ferndown branch in Dorset. Just check out the address on our site locator or follow the 'where can I see one link' above.

All concrete garages include installation by an expert team of builders. A concrete base needs to be prepared by you prior to delivery. Base plans for each building and base-building information is available, to ensure that there are no issues when we deliver and install.
As all of our concrete garages are very heavy, they are normally delivered using large lorries. So that we can be sure that buildings are safe and undamaged when unloaded, we also use lorry-mounted fork-lifts to manoeuvre the concrete panels.
To be able to do this, we will need to ask you questions relating to access and the size of lorry that will be able to reach your property. Once you have placed your order, you will be asked to fill out a 'help-the-driver' form that will give you the opportunity to give as much detail as possible - allowing us to deliver and install your new garage.
Our delivery times can vary from season to season. All of our buildings are made to order, so during the busy spring to summer seasons, this may increase depending on the building that you have purchased. Please feel free to contact us on 0800 999 0123 to check our current delivery times.
