The Melbourne Pavilion is the quintessential English pavilion with internal Georgian glazing bars located in each double glazed frame and a small 200mm PVC-u panel at the base. The Melbourne is a favourite of British retailers and was voted 'Best New Product in Garden Buildings' in 2013. Our Pavilions offer a flexible space and many customers use them as an extra room. Dining rooms are popular as is an area for reading and listening to music.
All Nordic Pavilions have one thing in common. The gutter is an integral load-bearing part of the structure and is not bolted on like all other Pavilions on the market. This is one feature that makes the Nordic Range unique. Apart from making our Pavilions look beautiful, the gutter system gives it remarkable strength. This strength allows you to specify a glass or tile-effect roof with no compromise on structural strength. This built-in strength also means you can have a 15sqm Pavilion that will withstand the heaviest wind, rain and snow falls.
Robust, strong and built to last. Nordic pavilions are made from PVC-u, which makes the product maintenance-free. Every Nordic pavilion also has the integral load-bearing guttering system which is unique to Nordic Garden Buildings.
Maintenance-free and thermally efficient. Nordic pavilions will not rot or require painting. They will not shrink or expand like wood.
Insulated and quiet, heat retention in winter is increased.
Choice of 4 Roof Types
Choose from polycarbonate, tile effect (it looks like a slate tile but is fibreglass in 3 colours) or 2 styles of glass roof.
Multi-point locking ensures your contents are safe.
6 Colour Options
Whether you want a white or a more traditional wood grain finish you have a choice of 6 colours. All colours include a white interior. Should you wish to upgrade the interior colour from white to a coloured finish, this would be an additional 25% of the building price (available for Golden Oak and Rosewood only).

Nordic ECO Bases
As with all of our Nordic garden rooms, the Nordic ECO base is supplied as standard. All we require is a flat and level slab base or concrete pad for the ECO base to sit on. The ECO base offers the following benefits:
Please note: all sizes shown are internal measurements. For external sizes and base size requirements, please contact us.
The Melbourne is octagonal in shape. It is double glazed with toughened safety glass containing Georgian glazing bars and has a 200mm PVC-u panel at the base. It includes a double door with multi point locks, 4 lockable windows, adjustable door hinges and low aluminium threshold.
The roof can be either polycarbonate, glass or tile effect.
We offer an installation service for all of our Nordic models using the manufacturer's own experts to ensure that the job is done to their exacting standards
5 colours are available ( plus white ).
This is the smaller size in the Melbourne range, 7 square metres of space to enjoy the garden, work, or play.
The building in the picture has grey external framework, one of 6 colour choices and has a tile effect roof rather than the standard polycarbonate roof.
Many customers prefer to put full height panels on the rear 3 facets if the building is going in to the corner of the garden, or if privacy is required from a particular direction, so this building also has that optional feature shown.
This is the superb Melbourne display model at our Hertford branch, one of many locations you can currently view this robust, good looking and fully maintenance free summerhouse. ( Please check our 'where can I see one' link on this page ).
We chose the grey finish and grey tile roof options which helped it win 'Best in show' at the NEC Garden and Leisure exhibition. There are, as you probably have already read, five colour options along with white, and three roofing options.
All in all it is just a fabulous living area.
Looking out from this superb Brisbane version of the Nordic Pavilion is a pleasure regardless of the weather. The double glazing and thermally efficient frames make it easy to keep warm all year round, with mid level windows fitted for summer ventilation.
The internal framework is always white and in this instance, fitted with a tile effect roof, the ceiling is also white.
Pictured here are the optional rear panels available for all Nordic buildings.
On the left side you will see the T&G effect panels on a ‘Grey’ coloured Melbourne pavilion, with the internal view below it.
On the right side the flat panels are shown on a ‘Golden Oak’ coloured Sylt pavilion, with the internal view below it.
You'll see from the rear views that the panels are colour matched to the rest of the frame. Internally the panels are white to match the internal frame.
You cannot have ‘flat on the inside and T&G on the outside’ (or vice versa). They are either flat or T&G. These styles of panels are available throughout the Nordic Range.
They are a great option to hide hedges and fences where a building fits in the corner of the garden or simply to provide privacy.

All Nordic garden buildings are delivered directly to your door from the manufacturer's factory in Wales and installed by Nordic's professional installation team - who are experts in fabrication and construction of PVCu buildings (we do not use contractors).
We require easy access to your garden and you should notify us of any obstructions or narrow passages when you place order. As with of all garden buildings, you will need to ensure our installation team have a flat and level base to work from. Supplied as standard with your building is the Nordic ECO base, all we require is a flat (spirit level flat) and compact ground to install on.
Our delivery times can vary from season to season, but typically you should expect to receive your building around 3-4 weeks from when you place your order. All of our buildings are made to order, so during the busy spring to summer seasons this may increase to 6-10 weeks dependent on the building that you have purchased. Please feel free to contact us on 0800 999 0123 to check our current delivery times.
