9 more images availableThe Malvern Sanctuary summerhouse is an ideal crossover between summerhouse and shed. We have been asked if we can provide a dual purpose shed and summerhouse for quite some time - so here it is!
Modelled on our fantastic Malvern Scandinavian Summerhouse range, there is a 4ft partitioned area at the rear with a separate entrance to use for storage or as a workshop. The extra area has an opening window and the door is lockable.
The summerhouse has a double lockable door to the front of the building and comes with a fully felted solid timber roof, large pane glazing, full length glazed doors and two fixed front windows as standard. All versions have one top hung half opening vent window and one fixed on both sides. There is an 18inch front roof overhang and all buildings have a spirit based preservative treatment throughout.
Sizes range from 8ft wide by 12ft deep to 12ft wide by 16ft deep. Two different window styles are available and the building can be constructed in treated pine, logroll pine or cedar.

Sanctuary 8ft wide x 10ft
Pictured here on product launch day in October 2008, this shows one of the smaller sizes of the Sanctuary. Available 8ft, 10ft or 12ft wide and in a variety of lengths, the Sanctuary is a multi-purpose building which has been thoughtfully designed to maximise the space in your garden by combining shed and summerhouse in one unit.
The Sanctuary pictured has optional Georgian windows.
Sanctuary 8ft wide x 12ft
This Sanctuary is a compact and useful garden building which combines an 8ft x 8ft cabin section with the rear 4ft x 8ft shed area.
The windows are the standard style offered with this product ... all the other pictures on this page have the Georgian Window upgrade. The external cladding shown here is 'logroll', one of three cladding options with the Malvern Sanctuary, the others being Deal and Cedar.
Sanctuary 10ft wide x 12ft
Spacious and stylish, this Sanctuary combines storage and seating areas in one versatile building. The woodland setting complements the treated pine cladding.
The 'Georgian' windows are an optional extra.
Installation by the manufacturer's own fitting team is an option which is almost universally chosen by our customers ... why not take advantage of their many years of experience !
Sanctuary 10ft wide x 14ft
This superb new building is available in a variety of sizes, styles and types of timber cladding.
Pictured here with deal ( pine ) construction, this Sanctuary has 'Georgian windows' and red felt as optional items. The rear compartment is a feature of this building and provides a handy store for your garden implements.
Sanctuary 10ft wide x 16ft
The Malvern Sanctuary pictured here is 10ft wide and 16ft from front to back. The cabin area at the front is 10ft x 12ft and is roomy enough for a three piece cane set or a dining table and chairs !
Whether enjoying a drink on a summer's afternoon or providing vital storage for the garden furniture, the Sanctuary is a multi purpose building which will give many years of pleasure. This Malvern Sanctuary has Georgian windows and doors.
Sanctuary 12ft x 12ft
This is the widest building in the Sanctuary range with a span of 12ft. The front cabin area on this particular building is 8ft deep and the shed compartment at the rear creates a roomy storage facility.

Sanctuary Workshop
This is the rear compartment in a 12ft wide Sanctuary. The opening window is a standard feature.
This picture also illustrates the strength of our Malvern Sanctuary shed doors. Fully framed, ledged and braced, this 35" width door will not go out of square! It has a built-in 3 lever mortice lock for security.
Deal ( Pine ) cladding
Our standard cladding on this summerhouse is 12mm deal ( pine ). This is treated with a wash of quality wood preserver both inside and out before it leaves the factory.
This building is also available with 'Logroll' or Cedarwood cladding.
Logroll cladding
Logroll is one of three cladding options for this summerhouse. The boards have an attractive rounded shape and are thicker ( 15mm ) at the heart than the standard 12mm deal cladding.
Cedar Cladding
Cedar is well known for its durability, good looks and quality. With its own natural oils, it lasts for many , many years without rotting although we would advise you to treat it with a good quality spirit based wood preserver every couple of years to help maintain its good looks.
Our 'cedar' summerhouses contain cedar doors, windows and external cladding and trims. They have preservative treated Deal ( pine ) framing, floors and verandahs ( where fitted ).

Deliveries
Deliveries are made by Malvern's own teams of skilled fitters. Lead times are generally no more than 4-5 weeks and you will be given plenty of notice of the date scheduled for delivery/installation.
