The Astwood is just one of a choice of superbly styled buildings from Malvern's Cottage Range of cedar garden summerhouses. Malvern lead the way with their innovative designs and superb value for money.

As ever, the detail is what makes the difference and you'll see that this building has cedar shingles at the eave and on the roof, it has Georgian style windows and doors, and also features a wood effect laminate floor.

Toughened safety glass is a standard feature and all Cottage Range buildings are installed by Malvern's fully trained fitting teams.

This Astwood has Georgian style windows and doors and the standard 18" roof overhang. Most of the other pictures on this page are of buildings with the optional 4ft verandah.

The picture needs little introduction ... what a lovely building !

Cedar roof shingles, painted Western Red Cedar cladding, double lockable doors, opening side windows, brass window and door handles and casement stays .... all these are standard features of the Astwood.

The Astwood is a superb summerhouse available in a range of widths and lengths; pictured here the building is 8ft wide with an overall depth of 14ft including the verandah.

There are 12 wonderful countryside colours to choose from for the exterior cedar cladding. As the building is constructed with cedar doors, windows, roof shingles and cladding it is exceptionally robust and will last for many years with a minimum of maintenance.

All 'Astwoods' are installed by the manufacturer's bespoke fitting teams.

Toughened safety glass is fitted as a standard feature and you can, if you choose, upgrade to double glazed windows at an additional charge.

This Astwood is finished in 'Stone green', a popular new colour which has recently been added to our range. This building is 10ft wide with a cabin area 10ft deep. The optional verandah decking is constructed with pressure treated timber to ensure an extended lifetime in conjunction with the cedarwood construction of the the doors, windows, roof shingles and external cladding.

This example of the superb Astwood summerhouse from Malvern''s Cottage Range makes a fabulous addition to this garden. The cabin area is 10ft x 10ft with an additional verandah 4ft deep at the front.

The roof shingles are Canadian Western Red Cedar which is hard wearing and very durable. The external cladding, doors and windows are all cedar too. This is important because the paint finish is better than would be achieved by painting pine cladding. Pine, as used by other suppliers,  has knots in it which work their way through the paint over a twelve month period leaving unsightly knotholes. Many manufacturers attempt to cut corners and cut costs by using pine but we stick to the quality finish we can achieve with cedarwood.

This 'Astwood' has optional Georgian style single glazed windows and doors and is finished in 'Malvern Green'. Every building is made to order so it's up to you to specify colour, size, and laminate flooring choice.

 Spacious and very attractive, the Astwood was launched in 2010 and has already proved a winner !

This is another great example of the Astwood, but this time with optional square leaded windows and with brass door and window furniture.

The Astwood is lined with a painted multi density fibreboard which is smooth and easy to maintain. There's a choice of 12 exterior colours and , in theory, the inside could be finished in any of these colours too, but 99% of our units go out with a Honeydew paint finish.

Astwood Detail

There's a great deal of attention given to the detail in each Astwood : here you can see a number of the construction features which make each Astwood unique to you.

This building is finished in Stone Green on the Cedar cladding. ( You have a choice of twelve colours ). The windows feature square lead ( plain glass is standard but you could also choose diamond lead or Georgian style windows ).  The door and window furniture is brass ( You could choose chrome ). The floor is finished with a tiled laminate ( you could choose one of our other laminate options ). The internal walls are finished in Honeydew paint finish.

Astwood verandah rails

It's the detail that makes the Astwood such a great building and a simple thing like turning the verandah uprights at 45 degrees adds a touch of class to the design.

Astwood pressure treated decking verandah

The optional verandah on the Astwood is constructed with ridged decking board which has been pressure treated to ensure good looks and long life.

The verandah depth is 4ft if chosen but , if this is too deep or too narrow please ask us to quote for your individual requirements.
