From our heavy duty range, the Worcester is built to last with a range of features you won't generally find elsewhere.

Two opening windows provide good ventilation when the shed is in use and a three lever mortice lock provides security when you aren't around !

This picture shows the Worcester shed to good effect, complete with the optional stable door. The size in this picture is the smaller of the two models ... the larger building measures 7ft8in x 7ft8in along the two back walls.

Worcester Heavy Duty Corner Shed framework

Malvern's 'Worcester' Heavy Duty sheds have 2inch x 2inch framing throughout. This is exceptionally strong and gives structural rigidity to the whole building making it resistant to bad weather and ensuring many years of trouble free use.

The picture shows where the sides meet the roof ... which is constructed with real timber boarding rather than with chipboard or other board products sometimes used by other manufacturers.

Worcester Heavy Duty shed floors

This photo may look a little boring but it illustrates a couple of important points. Firstly, the floors in our Worcester heavy duty sheds are made from real timber rather than from chipboard or other board products. Real timber lasts better and is more resistant to damp than any board products commonly used in other sheds. Secondly, you can see that the boards are nailed to the floor joists at 12 inch centres making these floors exceptioally strong. Thirdly, the floor is treated with a good quality preservative before it leaves the factory ensuring that it gives many years service ... after all, you can't get at the underside of the floor to re-treat it once installed !

This is a popular option with our Worcester Heavy Duty sheds.

My favourite reason for choosing this option was a parent who wanted to keep his small children out while he used power tools in the shed... what a good idea !

Heavy Duty shed door

This picture illustrates the strength of a Malvern Heavy Duty shed door. Fully framed, ledged and braced, this 35" width door will not go out of square! It has a built-in 3 lever mortice lock for security.

Pictured here on a Heavy Duty Apex shed, the door is identical on the Worcester Heavy Duty Sheds.

Heavy Duty shed door furniture

Black japanned door handles and 3 hinges in antique style are standard fittings with our Worcester Heavy Duty sheds. Also well illustrated in this picture is the 3 lever mortice lock.

Weatherstrip for Heavy Duty Sheds

This drip cill over the door is a good example of the attention to detail that characterise Malvern Heavy Duty sheds. Pictured here on a Heavy Duty Apex shed the principle of this is the same on the Worcester.

The drip cill prevents water running down the cladding and into the end grain at the top of the door and therefore ensures it does not swell and stick as you find with many other manufacturers' shed doors. It also reduces the possibility of water being blown across the top of the door and into the shed during stormy weather.

Joinery-made windows for Worcester sheds

Look carefully at this picture and you will see the quality of manufacture of these windows from one of our Heavy Duty sheds.

Each window is pre-glazed at the factory. The glass in this particular window is kite marked as it is glazed with toughened safety glass which is optional with all Worcester Heavy Duty Sheds.

Also illustrated are the casement stays which enable the window to be pegged open to suit you. This particular building has a workbench fitted.

Cedar cladding for heavy duty sheds

This picture illustrates the cedar cladding used on a large proportion of our Heavy Duty sheds. Cedar is known for its long life and good looks. It has its own natural oils in the timber which makes it very resistant to rot. Despite this we still pre-treat your Heavy Duty shed with a wash of quality wood preserver before it leaves the factory thus ensuring it gets off to a great start in life !

Pictured here on a Heavy Duty Apex shed, the attention to detail is the same on the Worcester with bargeboards having the same attractive moulded finish.

Deal (Pine) cladding for Worcester sheds

This picture illustrates the tongued and grooved Deal ( pine ) cladding generally used on our Worcester sheds.

This is treated with a wash of quality wood preserver both inside and out before it leaves the factory. This ensures that the treatment reaches into the end grain and between the tongued and grooved sections.
