The Bewdley shed in this picture has what we call a 'Pent' style roof... in other words it slopes from the front to the rear.
It's a good storeshed made from proper tongued and grooved timber ... no chipboard or rubbish, and is timber treated inside and out at the factory with a wash of preservative before delivery.
The door can be placed on either side of the front and hinged to open left or right.
The Bewdley Pent 8 x6 in Deal ( Pine ). You can fit the door either to the RH of the front as illustrated or set to the left. It's also possible to manufacture the building with an end door, the important thing is to specify its position at the time of order, and which side you want the hinges.
Each Bewdley shed can be professionally installed by Malvern's own teams of skilled fitters on the same day as delivery is made ( if the installation option is chosen )
Although the Bewdley Pent shed is generally supplied with a door in the front ( High ) face it can be built with an end door to special order as illustrated on this display building.
The smallest of the Bewdley Pent sheds ... shown here with the door in the LH of the front.
This particular building is constructed in pressure treated deal.
One window is included.
The Bewdley is also available in Apex style which is described on a separate page. The building illustrated is the pressure treated version which has that green/yellow hue that is preferred by many householders.
Shown here on the 6ft x 4ft Apex version but also available on the Pent or Corner versions of the Bewdley.
Bewdley sheds are constructed with quality, planed deal ( pine ). This is treated with a wash of quality wood preserver both inside and out before it leaves the factory. This ensures that the treatment reaches into the end grain and between the tongued and grooved cladding.
You can see from the picture the quality of the external cladding. There's another picture here of the inside of the building which illustrates the framework detail.
Pressure treatment is literally that : all components of the building are placed in a large pressurised cylinder which forces the preservative deep into the timber. The formulation of the preservative gives the pressure treated Bewdley sheds their green / yellow hue which complements so many gardens.
Good looks and an extended lifetime are the main benefits of choosing pressure treated construction.
Bewdley sheds are constructed with quality, planed deal ( pine ). The framework has rounded edges to prevent splinters. The whole building is treated with a wash of quality wood preserver both inside and out before it leaves the factory. This ensures that the treatment reaches into the end grain and between the tongued and grooved cladding. You can see from the picture the quality of the internal framing, this is at the point where it meets the roof which you can see is also constructed from tongued and grooved timber.
There's another picture here of the outside of the building which illustrates the cladding detail.
If you are a novice when it comes to sheds then this picture is for you !
Most shed floors are constructed with floor joists which are deal (pine). These can be seen under the floor running down the length of this shed. If they are set directly onto your base they will deteriorate after a few years as water penetrates into the timber. By choosing a set of pressure treated floor bearers ( the timber running side to side in this picture ) you will extend the life of your shed significantly as these bearers will last a lifetime as the preservative is forced into the timber under pressure. This is the same process used for fenceposts and suchlike. Beneath the bearers you will see pressed grey slabs ... probably the best way of constructing a base for your building
Turn pegs as photographed are fitted at the top and bottom of the door on each Bewdley shed.
These are handy for keeping the door shut briefly when you are going in and out but also help prevent the door from twisting if it is left shut for long periods of time without use.
Shown here on the Bewdley Apex
Each Bewdley shed is fitted with a fold over hasp and staple as illustrated so that you can fit a padlock of your choice
This illustrates the Bewdley range doors, shown here on the apex model.
The door is ledged and braced for strength and is fitted with a fold-over hasp and staple.

As with all of our garden buildings, we like to provide our customers with a suitable delivery time. We always appreciate any helpful information regarding access to your pre-prepared base area, plus any details you may need to share with us about reaching you - so that the delivery process can run as smoothly as possible.
Our Malvern Traditional Sheds all come with optional installation. If you are thinking about having your garden shed installed by our skilled team of fitters, please be aware that you will need to have a good, strong, level base, pre-prepared prior to your delivery date. We would normally recommend a base constructed from either slabs, concrete or heavy duty decking. We will always confirm these details with you at point of order and we will provide you with base plans if needed. These measures ensure that no detail is left out - ensuring that your garden shed will be both delivered and installed without any inconvenience. Alternatively, if you choose to install the building yourself, we will provide a complete set of easy-to-follow instructions and fittings.
Our delivery times can vary from season to season, but typically, you should expect to receive your building around 3-4 weeks from when you order. All of our buildings are made to order, so during the busy spring to summer seasons, this may increase to 6-10 weeks dependant on the building that you have purchased.
