The Malvern Lodge Playhouse is our best selling playhouse and comes with a 2ft 6in verandah and 2ft 6in roof overhang. Inside, your children will find the ground floor plus a loft to play in. A ladder is fitted to access the upper level, which is fitted with a balustrade for safety.
There are many great safety features included to keep your mind at rest whilst your children are playing. The ledged stable door has magnetic catches and piano style hinges, angled to leave a gap when shut. There is also a gap between the stable door - all to protect fingers from getting trapped. The windows are also glazed with safety acrylic for your peace of mind. All of our Malvern playhouses have SAFETY CERTIFICATION.
All prices include a 2ft 6in verandah, but this is not included in the sizes. Sizes shown below are width x depth (add 2ft 6in to depth for overall building size).

Safety features included on all Malvern Playhouses:
8ft x 6ft is the cabin area of the Lodge although it actually occupies an 8ft x 8ft6in footprint as the verandah projects 2ft 6in.
This Lodge has the optional Green painted highlights.
This building is definately the favourite with Children since it has a ladder leading to the ballustraded upstairs section.
This Lodge has optional red highlights. You can just see that it has a fourth window ( glazed with acrylic plastic ) on the left hand side.
We offer two colour highlight choices in addition to the plain timber bargeboards and windows : green or red.
There are a number of safety features on Malvern Playhouses, the details of which you will find in the other pictures on this page.
This is the largest size of the Lodge that we sell... 8ft x 8ft cabin area plus the 2ft 6in verandah at the front. It's extremely spacious and ideal for nurseries and playgroups with its emphasis on quality and safety.
This building has optional floor bearers, red highlights and chimney.
The Lodge is constructed with Deal ( Pine ) tongued and grooved cladding. The surface of this is planed smooth and each board fits neatly into the next.
Before the building leaves the factory each panel is given a wash of a quality wood preservative which protects it against rot and insect attack. The process allows the preservative to get between the boards and into the end grain of the timber ensuring that all surfaces are coated.
Each of the Malvern playhouses features a stable door which kids just love to play with. However, we don't want them to get their fingers trapped so there is a substantial gap between the two doors covered by a rubber weatherseal.
The stable doors on Malvern Playhouses are hinged with one-piece piano hinges and the rear edge of the door is cut at 30 degrees This ensures that, when shut, there is no risk of little fingers getting caught in the back of the door.
This is what kids enjoy most about The Lodge! The ladder is situated at the far side so that smaller children can use the wall for support while climbing.
The upstairs is ballustraded for safety. As children grow older the upstairs can be easily removed to give more headroom throughout the building.
Safety inspectors insisted that Malvern playhouse doors were fitted with magnetic catches so that all a child has to do to get out is push rather than turn a handle or knob. We took their advice as you would expect! The door has a neat circular handle on the outside which is easy for small children to grasp.
The bargeboards on the Malvern playhouse range are neatly rounded for safety. The windows are glazed with acrylic plastic.
You may think this rather elementary but compare our buildings with other manufacturers' buildings and you'll see how much better thought out they are.
The 43mm x 33mm framework used in the Malvern playhouse range is sanded to a smooth finish to prevent splinters. Shown here where the sides meet the roof, you'll see that the roof is made from real timber rather than chipboard or pressed fibre board. This has important benefits if damp somehow gets into the roof at a later date since real timber won't swell and disintegrate.
All of our children’s playhouses will be delivered by our own expert team of fitters. We take pride in making sure that your building will arrive in perfect condition. As with all of our garden buildings, we like to provide our customers with a suitable delivery time. We always give good notice of our arrival date, allowing you to be sure it is the right time for you. We always appreciate any helpful information regarding access to your pre-prepared base area and any details you may need to share with us about reaching you - so that the delivery process can run as smoothly as possible.
Our Playhouses all come with the option of installation. If you are thinking about having your playhouse installed by our skilled team of fitters, please aware that you will need to have a good, strong, level base, pre-prepared prior to your delivery date. We would normally recommend a base constructed from either slabs, concrete or heavy duty decking. We will always confirm these details with you at point of order. These measures ensure that your playhouse will be both delivered and installed without any inconvenience. Alternatively if you choose to install the building yourself, we will provide a complete set of easy-to-follow instructions and fittings.
Our delivery times can vary from season to season, but typically you should expect to receive your building around 3-4 weeks from when you place your order. All of our buildings are made to order, so during the busy spring to summer seasons this may increase to 6-10 weeks dependant on the building that you have purchased. Please feel free to contact us on 0800 999 0123 to check our current delivery times.
