6 more images availableThe Malvern Retreat greenhouse is a flexible building system that combines shed and greenhouse in one attractive unit. Our Retreat greenhouses/sheds all come with toughened safety glass throughout as standard.
The lean to greenhouse section is 6ft (nominal) wide and can have a pent shed of 4ft, 6ft or 8ft width added to it to make up the size which best suits your garden. You have a choice of pressure treated deal or cedar construction. Both models carry a ten year anti - decay guarantee.
Cedar is well known for it's natural resistance to rot and its longevity it is factory treated prior to delivery but will still benefit from an occasional re-treatment to keep it looking good.
Pressure treatment is another means of extending the natural life of the timber and our Malvern Retreat greenhouses constructed with this timber are proving very popular as they are less costly than the cedar models and have an attractive appearance.

Garden Retreat 12ft x 6ft9in
The Garden Retreat is versatile, functional and good looking. Shed and greenhouse attach together to provide a compact unit for growing, storage and working.
Pictured here is the 12ft wide model which utilises a 6ft deep shed with the 6ft deep lean-to. A variety of lengths ( this one is 6ft 9in. ) are available. The building featured here is constructed in cedar, has an optional internal sliding door and also optional staging, shelving and guttering.
All of our greenhouses have toughened safety glass fitted and the Retreat is no exception !
Garden Retreat 12ft x 8ft10in
The Retreat is avaialable in a choice of cedar cladding or pressure treated timber construction.
Pressure treatment is literally that : all components of the building are placed in a large pressurised cylinder which forces the preservative deep into the timber. The formulation of the preservative gives the pressure treated Retreats their green / yellow hue which complements so many gardens.
Good looks and an extended lifetime are the main benefits of choosing pressure treated construction as pictured.
Garden Retreat 10ft x 6ft9in
If you compare this to the photo on the left you'll notice that the pent shed section is 4ft rather than 6ft wide which reduces the overall width.
Staging, shelving and guttering are options fitted to this building and a workbench is a favourite extra choice for the shed section. One opening window is supplied for the shed.
The Retreat can be installed for you by Malvern's own teams of skilled fitters.
Garden Retreat 10ft x 8ft10in
This is an old picture of the Retreat .. you can tell because the door is fitted with a rim lock rather than the secure mortice lock we now use.
The picture illustrates some features of the Retreat which are well worth pointing out : the optional bench in the shed and optional cedar panels around the base of the greenhouse for instance.
The staging and shelving have also been upgraded since this picture was taken .. part of the continuous process of improvement we undertake.
Internal sliding door
This is a popular option with the Retreat as you can cross between the buildings on those miserable wet days without getting soaked ! You can see the cedar cladding on this building in a little more detail.
Retreat Staging and Shelving
Sturdy, solid, Cedar or pressure treated runners on cross bracing, supported by heavy duty cantilever brackets ... that's how the greenhouse staging is constructed.
In practical terms it is easy to wipe down as it isn't rough - sawn timber like other makes. Compare the quality of this staging with anything else on the market and we guarantee you'll be very impressed.
All components of the staging as pictured are pressure treated.
Retreat Workbench
A sturdy workbench is available for the Retreat. It's constructed in either preservative treated deal ( pine ) or in pressure treated timber as pictured.
