Elite Compact Greenhouse

Elite Compact 4'4 x 4'3 ( 1.33 x 1.31m )

Tucked neatly into the back yard of this house, this Compact ( just installed ) will provide a fabulous growing space which perfectly matches our customer's requirements.

This building shows our optional interconnecting rainwater kit; the normal rainwater kit provides you with two downpipes but for this version we provide additional piping and joints so that the water can be directed across the back of the greenhouse to join up at one point.

Also pictured is our 110litre water barrel and barrel stand. This is a slimline barrel and is useful where space is limited. Staging, shelving, louvre and automatic vent opener are also additional cost options.

Compact 4'4 x 4'3 ( 1.33 x 1.31m )

The 4ft wide Compact has double opening doors in the 4ft gable end. It is available in a selection of lengths up to 20ft. Pictured here is the smallest model which is 4ft x 4ft.

This greenhouse is pictured before the building was amended in 2010. Previously there was a 5" base plinth which has now been replaced by a walk-through, low level threshold. The door is glazed in three panels now, rather than the two shown. These changes make the new Compact a much more user-friendly design.

The building is shown here in brown finish; it's also available in green, terracotta, black, white or the basic mill finish.

Integral base and low level threshold

Walk into most other suppliers' greenhouses and you'll have to step over a base plinth which restricts your ease of entry. This is because their bases are sold as an extra item for your greenhouse frame to sit on top of.

Not so with our Elite freestanding greenhouses where an integral 4inch high base plinth is provided as part of the kit. This is suitable to install on any firm, level area. In the doorway, however, we use a threshold plate at ground level so that the doors are taller and you can walk in without restriction. This is a far better design feature than most other suppliers.

Extra vent

Good ventilation is very important in any greenhouse. Our product details will advise you of the number of vents provided as standard with your Elite greenhouse but it's never a bad idea to add a bit of extra ventilation !

Delivery included

Delivery to mainland England and Wales is included in all of our package prices. It's also included in selected areas of Scotland but you need to check with our staff as we occasionally have to make extra arrangements for areas above the central belt which may cost a little extra.

On delivery the greenhouse and staging are contained in the larger cardboard boxes, the accessory items are grouped together and the glass needs a clear length of wall to lean against, preferably in a garage or outbuilding. In this instance it is safely stacked against a sheltered garden wall. Nothing in the boxes will take any harm if it gets wet during storage, with the possible exception of the instructions; after all, the greenhouse is intended to stand outside in all weather !

You will be advised of the delivery date so you can ensure that the delivery driver can gain access to unload the boxes and glass.

D.I.Y ?

Should you choose to install your greenhouse yourself this is what you will find when you unpack the boxes ! The components here are from our smallest greenhouse ( 4ft x 4ft ) but the principle is the same with all sizes. Aluminium components are carefully wrapped and labelled to tell you which section they belong to. All you need to do is follow the instructions on preparing them and assembling them which are also provided. ( Orange booklet in this picture ). All clips, nuts and bolts and rubber glazing beads are provided in the pack too. Glass is delivered at the same time as the greenhouse and stacked where you request.
