Alton Traditional Lean To Greenhouse
Product Details
When space is limited, a Lean-To greenhouse is often the solution. The Alton Traditional lean-To Greenhouse includes many of the features that make the Alton Traditional Greenhouse so popular - vertical sides, Alton VentAccess low-level vents - plus the added convenience of being so close to the house.
The vertical sides accomodate high-level storage, making the Traditional Lean-To ideal for those seed trays you need when propogating young plants.
The Alton Traditional Lean-To greenhouse is also very cost-effective to heat the wall heats up during the day, and then slowly releases the heat into the greenhouse at night.
Alton Traditional Lean-To greenhouses are constructed from Western Red Cedar, known for its durability and resistance to decay. Sourced from renewable sources, Western Red Cedar is a material that does not shrink, swell or warp excessively, even when subjected to changes in temperature and moisture
The beautiful, natural reddish brown colour of the cedar looks superb in any garden setting and is also more thermally efficient than comparable aluminium greenhouses. It is factory treated prior to delivery but will still benefit from an occasional re-treatment to keep it looking good.
Please note that greenhouses are not guaranteed to be watertight and can not be seen as a substitute for a fully sealed conservatory. If you install a lean - to greenhouse over an entrance to your home it MUST be glazed with toughened safety glass which is a standard feature on the Alton 'Traditional' Lean-To.
Installation
Most sections of your new Alton greenhouse will arrive pre-glazed so that it is quick and easy to install. All buildings are supplied with comprehensive instructions too. A suitable base needs to be prepared before installation. The concrete base kerbs (that are standard on Alton greenhouses) provide a robust and attractive foundation.
If you prefer not to install your own greenhouse, we can provide you with an installation service.

GBC Group are the first choice supplier of Cedar Greenhouses in the UK.
GBC are located at some of Britain's most prestigious garden centres from the South Coast to Scotland and display a comprehensive range of Malvern timber greenhouses at all branches and the fabulous Alton Cedar Greenhouses at most branches.
Most branches of GBC Group display the Alton Amateur. The Alton Octagonal, the Alton Amateur Lean - to, the Alton Traditional and the Alton Traditional Lean-to can be bought from all of our outlets or on line. Please contact us by email for the latest offer details.
Each year we sell off all our showmodels and replace them with the latest versions of the Alton Greenhouse range with up to date specifications so you can be sure that we are always clean, tidy and up to date. We put our display models up for sale on July 1st each year for installation during the winter so if you want to be considered as a potential customer for one of these please let us know.
At our GBC display sites we ensure that our Alton Greenhouses are easily accessible along level pathways so less able customers are able to view the products without difficulty.
So its easy to come and see Alton Greenhouses at selected GBC group display centres, but that doesn't explain why we sell as many as we do !
There are several reasons : we always have an eye for price and it would be almost impossible to find anyone offering a better combination of price, service and display in the UK.
Just as important, our staff are fully trained to explain the benefits of each Alton Greenhouse : they know the Alton Greenhouse range inside out and back to front ! Prices can vary from under £1000 to over £5000 so it's as well to deal with people who know what they are talking about !
Fantastic displays, knowledgeable friendly staff and open all year round - there's no better place to buy your Alton Greenhouse from than the GBC Group.
