The Malvern Custom Built Studio is a revolutionary building - giving you complete freedom to design an outdoor room to fit your exact requirements.
The building shown at the top of these pictures has been built at our GBC Abingdon branch to illustrate some of the design features that can be incorporated into your building, such as plastered internal walls, lighting, heating, plumbing, double glazing, traditional roof tiles, rendering or weatherboarding externally. In Case Study 1 in our photo gallery you'll see a modern styled building with concertina doors which make the most of the decking area and maximize the fresh air inside the Studio.
We're aiming to produce an outdoor building that is just like an extension to your home.
Shown in Case Study 2 is another example of the Studio system. In this case built into an awkward corner setting at our customer's property. This Malvern Custom Studio is Cedar clad with a traditional tiled roof and PVCu windows.
So, as you can see, we can design and build pretty much anything !
To produce a building to your specification, a survey is required by our specialist surveyors. We will be happy to discuss your ideas with you at any of our branches and provide you with drawings and costings to ensure that we can produce the building that meets your exact requirements and gives you many years of service. Alternatively just email us or use the freephone contact number to start the ball rolling.
Whether for use as an office, a hobby room, an outdoor dining area or just somewhere to relax, you'll find our buildings perfect for your needs.
Compare this to the custom built studio case studies 1 and 2 below and you'll see what we mean when we say we can build pretty much anything. This display model at our Abingdon branch is available to demonstrate many features of our custom buidings programme ... externally you'll see normal clay roof tiles with the sides finished with a combination of weatherboarding and rendering. Check the next picture for the internal layout ... lounge and bathroom.
We chose our Abingdon branch to site this particular building as it's easily accessible from most of the Midlands and South of England. Click on the map on our home page to get directions to GBC Abingdon.
This is the inside of our GBC Abingdon display model.
It features a double glazed and insulated lounge area with laminate floor, electrical points, lighting, heating and a shower / washroom at the rear. The internal ceiling in this case is built deliberately high to allow light from the glazed front to flood into the building and give the building a roomy and open feel.
Every good idea starts with a decent technical drawing .. the question is whether this can be turned into reality without compromising on quality or style.
Judge the results for yourself in the adjoining picture.
Double opening doors, single window in the front and windows down the RH side. Roof overhang with 'natural' roof... the reality of the concept drawings on the LH of this page.
So the reality is that we can build pretty much anything you want, given time and appropriate technical details.
This is a fine example of our custom building service creating a light, open and airy space in the garden with a modern twist ! The folding aluminium doors enable the whole front to open up to enjoy the south facing aspect and even the decking is part of this project. Inside, every detail has been carefully crafted to make this truly a home from home.
These doors fold back in 3 sections to open up the front of the Studio to the open air.
A top quality internal laminate floor matches the modern styling of the building. Externally the deck boards add to the feel of summer.
Security is always important when electronic equipment is stored and used in an outdoor building.
The picture speaks for itself ! Come rain or shine you can benefit from your location in the garden.
Electrical installations are all part of the Custom Studio portfolio.
Here chrome spotlights have been set in the roof overhang.
There are also lights inset in the decking to make this a superb setting at night time too !
