The Compton Flat Spar is a no-nonsense design that gives you a good looking and robust structure to suit any garage, storage or home working needs. All without having to break the bank!
'Spar' refers to the attractive maintenance free aggregate finish on the outside of the concrete panels. Designed for the long-term, this solid design uses concrete panels that are reinforced with steel, securely bolted together and internally sealed with mastic to provide many years of service. The maintenance-free 'Spar' finish blends long-lasting practicality with fit-in anywhere looks.
An array of quality features further adds to the value. Full length vandal-resistant galvanised steel roof sheets with no joints to leak benefit from an anti-condensation treatment. And for the long term, you also get preservative-treated timber on the front, side and window frame. Or you could choose the superb maintenance-free options that come with the PVCu facias, vergeboards or PVCu fixed and opening windows.

Flat Spar 16ft3 x 8ft
This is one of the smallest sizes of the Compton Flat Spar garage, just 16ft3 x 8ft but still a practical and well proportioned building.
Available in a vast range of sizes this is the most popular building in our garage range.
Doors are made by Hormann and slide easily leaving a comfortable 6ft3in walk through clearance.
Featured in this picture are the standard white framed up and over doors, timber facias and spar finish front posts. There's a huge range of options including maintenance free PVCu facias, verge boards and windows. You could also choose brick front posts in a range of colours.
All Compton garages are installed by the manufacturer and carry their 10 year no-quibble guarantee.
4 Point Secure Locking
Compton Garage doors feature 4 point locking. Shown here from inside the garage you can see that the door is secured with two bolts at the top and two at the bottom. The picture illustrates the inside of an Apex Spar but the principle is exactly the same.
Personnel door
The Compton personnel door has been improved in Autumn 2011 to take advantage of the higher eave of the updated garage. Although it is difficult to see from the pictures, the door is 6'2 high and 2'9" wide which is a much more comfortable height and width.
Shown here fitted in the back section of the Flat Spar, it could also be fitted in one of the sides if you prefer
Hormann doors
Compton garages are supplied with the industry-leading Hormann doors which means they are secure, sturdy and slide beautifully
Structure
Reinforced concrete panels are bolted together using three bolts with plastic tapered washers. The ring beam above the panels adds height and strength.
Sturdy 'C' Section galvanised steel roof trusses support the grafotherm coated anti-condensation roof sheets.
All in all a sturdy, tried and tested and long lasting system.
Rear Guttering detail
Guttering is a useful option to add so that water is discharged at ground level.
This picture also illustrates the galvanised weatherproof cover on the verge boards which, in this instance, are timber treated pine. You can also choose PVCu facias and vergeboards for ease of maintenance.
Spar finish
Spar finish is simply a graded stone chipping finish which is applied to the wet concrete panels during manufacture. It's long lasting and complements many properties.
PVCu window
Shown here is the PVC window option available with all Compton Garages.
You can choose PVCu facias and verge boards too so that you'll never need to worry about garage maintenance !
